PTU™ Tablets (propylthiouracil)

Each tablet contains 50 mg of propylthiouracil. The inactive ingredients or excipients are lactose, magnesium stearate, povidone, sodium lauryl sulfate and maize starch.

Indication:
An antithyroid drug, indicated for the total treatment of hyperthyroidism or in the treatment of the thyrotoxic patient prior to surgery or radioactive-iodine therapy.
